Using Green Clean to treat Pond Algae

I have a koi pond of approx. 5300 gals. After 1 & 1/2 yrs. of no algae, suddenly after cleaning out bio falls and dead plants I have what appears to be hair &/or string algae growing. Should I use green clean? I think I would need green clean. But I do not know how much it will take to treat my pond for the season.

Koi Pond with Vortex Filtration and Gunite Walls

photo credit: diana_dee_sophiaI am building a koi pond, approximately 3500 gallons, about 170 sq.ft. surface, about 3 feet depth, under screen enclosure so Florida. I would like to use a 3 tank vortex filtration system only for filtration with a small hp (1/4 or so) pump. I will have a waterfall with about a 1- 1 1/2 HP separate pump. I intend to build into the pond sides compartments for some water lilies etc.( isolated by gunite walls. Any thoughts or recommendations? Thank you much.
Uniseals instead of Bulkhead for Bio Filter
hello i have a small buissnes, and currently use bulkhead fittings for doing koi ponds, i used alot for my bio filters and they leak after time, mark james told me that you have something better, uniseals, i was wondering if you could send me a sample of one so i can see for my self how they work without silicone, i hope this works and we can do away with the bulkhead fittings and silicone

Filtration system for gunite pond or liner pond

I see a few filtration systems that seem like they would be a good fit for a 5,500 or so gallon pond. What sort of system would you consider optimal for a 16,000+ gallon pond with a healthy assortment of fish? This would most likely be a gunite pond rather than a liner pond but it might be an assortment of ponds equalling up to 16-20,000 gallons with at least one with a depth of around 6′-7′. I understand that this is a broad question but your mission statement seems to say that you like fitting what you consider to be the best setup for individual applications.
Testing Meter for pH and salt levels in pond

Hello. I’m new to digital lab testing equipment. I have a 2000 gallon Koi Pond and I’m curious to know if there is a meter than can test PH and Salt level, all in one…temp too would be nice. Will the Gro’Chek Meterdo all of this? If not, can you advise on a meter you sell for a reasonable price (under $350)?

Second Pump to bring water for PreFilter

Wave Pressurized Pre-filter, Do I need a second pump to bring water to the pre fliter? I have a brand new 3700 gal. pond and I am gathering info to make my first purchase the right one. I am also looking at an Aquadyne bead filter, the 2.2B is probably to big but the smaller one does not have the Dynamax air blower for eazy backwashing. Any suggestions on the proper filter, or a different brand?
