Duckweed and Lily pad problem in pond

i have a 1/2 acre pond in my front yard. we were in a drought situation for 2 years and the pond lost 50 percent of its water. when it came back in the last 3 months we have a problem for the first time with duckweed and lily pads have also done well. do you have a remedy safe for fish and pets.
