Koi Pond with Vortex Filtration and Gunite Walls

I am building a koi pond, approximately 3500 gallons, about 170 sq.ft. surface, about 3 feet depth, under screen enclosure so Florida. I would like to use a 3 tank vortex filtration system only for filtration with a small hp (1/4 or so) pump. I will have a waterfall with about a 1- 1 1/2 HP separate pump. I intend to build into the pond sides compartments for some water lilies etc.( isolated by gunite walls. Any thoughts or recommendations? Thank you much.
