Filtration system for gunite pond or liner pond

I see a few filtration systems that seem like they would be a good fit for a 5,500 or so gallon pond. What sort of system would you consider optimal for a 16,000+ gallon pond with a healthy assortment of fish? This would most likely be a gunite pond rather than a liner pond but it might be an assortment of ponds equalling up to 16-20,000 gallons with at least one with a depth of around 6'-7'. I understand that this is a broad question but your mission statement seems to say that you like fitting what you consider to be the best setup for individual applications.
