Looking for surface skimmer and filter
Hi. I'm looking for a surface skimmer/filter with a minimum 9-inch neck; i.e., that dimension from the back of the faceplate to the front of the skimmer housing. The reason is that it is to be installed in a cinder block and concrete wall of the pond currently under construction [8" C/B + 1" stone veneer]. I had planned on getting from you the Savio with 16-inch faceplate and integrated UV's. However, a competitor's drawing suggests the critical dimension to only be 6 inches. Please advise what the requested dimension is and, if not at least 9 inches, would you please suggest an alternative. I could recess the wall with brick and mortar work, but that would violate the integrity of the construction at that point in the pond. It'll be about 4,000 gallons, and I want to get a skimmer that's overcapacity if anything. The fallout from the trees should not be great.
